Welcome to our Twos Classroom! Our program provides an engaging and supportive environment tailored to the unique developmental needs of children aged 24-36 months. We foster a sense of curiosity, independence, and social interaction as these explorers continue to make sense of the world around them.

Classroom Setup: Our classroom is thoughtfully arranged to offer a balance of structured learning areas and open spaces for exploration and imaginative play. We provide age-appropriate furniture, materials, and learning centers to stimulate creativity, problem-solving skills, and social-emotional development. Safety features such as low shelves, child-friendly equipment, and secure gates ensure a safe and nurturing environment for active learners.

Daily Schedule: Our daily routine is designed to provide a predictable framework while allowing flexibility to accommodate the evolving interests and needs of two year olds. Structured activities such as circle time, art projects, sensory exploration, music and movement, and outdoor play are balanced with opportunities for free play, choice-making, and independent exploration. Transition times are supported with visual schedules and verbal cues to help navigate their day with confidence.

Curriculum and Learning Goals: Our D.E.S.E. approved curriculum, High/Scope, is guided by the interests and developmental milestones of enrolled children, focusing on fostering language development, social skills, cognitive abilities, and physical coordination. Learning experiences are hands-on, play-based, and designed to promote problem-solving, creativity, and self-expression. We incorporate themes and activities that spark curiosity and encourage active participation in the learning process.

Caregiver-Child Interaction: Our experienced and caring staff members engage with twos in meaningful interactions, providing guidance, support, and encouragement as they explore, learn, and grow. We foster positive relationships, respect children’s autonomy, and offer opportunities for cooperation, sharing, and conflict resolution. Caregivers serve as facilitators, role models, and partners in each child’s journey of discovery and development.

Parent Involvement and Communication: We recognize the importance of collaboration between parents and educators in supporting twos’ growth and learning. We maintain open lines of communication through daily updates, newsletters, and digital platforms to keep parents informed about their child’s experiences, progress, and achievements. Parent-teacher conferences, family events, and volunteer opportunities are offered to foster partnerships and involvement in the classroom community.

Health and Safety Practices: We prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of all children in our care. Caregivers adhere to strict hygiene practices, including frequent handwashing, sanitization of toys and surfaces, and proper handling of food and materials. We have clear policies and procedures in place for illness management, emergency preparedness, and safety protocols to ensure a secure and nurturing environment for twos to thrive.

Our Twos Classroom is committed to providing a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can explore, learn, and develop to their fullest potential. We celebrate each child’s unique abilities, interests, and accomplishments, fostering a love of learning and laying the foundation for future success in preschool and beyond.
